Chambourcin

History: Unknown parentage

Description: A French/American hybrid designed to thrive in a damp climate. Chambourcin is used as a blender in many wines but seldom receives any credit on the label.

Chambourcin will often have an intense purple colour that may persist beyond youth.

Taste/Aromas: A dark aromatic wine.

Regions: Port Macquarie and Hunter Regions.

Cellaring: Will oak and age reasonably well.
